
Makkah Construction and Development Co. announced the purchase of a strategically located land plot in the Ajyad District in the city of Makkah, through the public auction “Shurfat Al Haram,” which was held in Makkah on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, and organized by Adeer Real Estate Company.
The total value of the transaction amounted to around SAR 980 million, inclusive of auction commission fees and real estate transaction tax. The land is distinguished by its prime location, approximately 500 meters from the Grand Mosque plaza, with a total area of 6,985.88 square meters and an average price of around SAR 140 thousand per square meter.
This transaction forms part of the Company’s expansion strategy aimed at strengthening its portfolio of prime real estate assets in close proximity to the Grand Mosque, contributing to the creation of sustainable long-term value for shareholders through the development of income-generating assets that enhance the Company’s recurring operating revenues.
The company plans to develop the land into a mixed-use project that includes a hotel, along with a shopping complex that keeps pace with modern trends designed to meet the evolving needs of pilgrims and visitors.
